Democratic politicians don't listen which is the reason why 10 million democratic voters sat out the last presidential election allowing Trump to win. They're out-of-touch with their own constituents.
After Trump won, Mamdani literally asked New Yorkers about their concerns. They replied affordability! Mamdani wants to address their concerns that is why he will be the next mayor!
All of his suggestions to help make NYC more affordable have already been done there or elsewhere.
A small and fair tax increase for the rich won't bankrupt them especially after
Trump just gave the rich a huge tax cut

Trump said he would reverse inflation, but has only increased inflation AND taxes with his tariffs, aka taxes for regular folks, to fund another tax cut for billionaires.

Trump said he would Repeal and Replace Obamacare, but he is only ending healthcare for millions mainly in red states. Expect hospitals in rural areas to close since they receive a lot of funds from federal money which Trump is ending to help make Elon the first trillionaire.
