Me and my bro were trying to come up with your top 3 Bond movies. My top 2 are Casino Royale and The Spy Who Loved Me. But for a 3rd one, I have to pick one of these two, but which one would say is better and why, out of curiosity?

On Her Majesty's Secret Service had a too melodramatic ending that seemed tacked on. Blofeld doing a drive-by shooting seems undignified for him. His scheme to hold the world for ransom seemed a little silly. I liked the skiing scenes though. I haven't seen Goldeneye in a long time but I remember it being enjoyable but OHMSS seems like a more classically Bond film.

Both are great films. I think Goldeneye is the last good Bond film. Casino Royale was decent, but too gritty and hyper realistic, definitely a departure from classic Bonds, and Goldeneye too.
But OHMSS is my favorite Bond of all of them, and had it starred Sean Connery, might have been the perfect Bond movie. It has everything, a slow buildup, great characterization, ove-the-top villain and secret lair, amazing action scenes, and a sad sad ending.
Oh, and the music is just awesome as well. As an aside, I think it's also the only Bond film without any lyrical music song as title sequence, can someone confirm that?
