This is true. A good portion of Latin America as well as Japan play baseball. Tom Selleck even starred in MR. BASEBALL which dealt with a Japanese baseball team.

It is popular in Canada. Also, the Aussies play it to some degree. It has a small but devoted following in the Netherlands and Italy.

        World because Canada, of course.
        Anything with Canada is worldly.
So says this American son-of-a-Canadian. And yes, I do get to refer to my Canuck mum obliquely as a bitch, but you don't.

See, pep? Me personally, I hate football. Can't watch it, can't play it. Have no interest in it. And I do realize how popular it is here. The Super Bowl has to be the most overrated night of television EVER! Now, futbol is a whole different story. I like!

Verily I say unto theeteam sports are anathema to me. What glory is there in sharing a victory with others?

Look at teams when they win a championship and tell me they don't feel some sense of pride and glory by working together and winning.

If I had one on hand, I'd also include a picture of my high school baseball team winning our state championship, a great and proud moment that I shared with a team and where everyone contributed. Of course there's glory in such a thing. Winning in general is worthy of glory.

Bap's disdain for team sports is understandable. It can be traced back to his experiences as a wee lad on Cardiff playgrounds. You can't really blame him for feeling that way. He was always the last one selected for choose-up games, and the other kids would never pass the ball to him.
