          Tom Ellis is too pretty baby to be Bond, he makes the fantastic Pierce Brosnan (no offence to the master) look like duck dynasty.

            The public doesn't want a Bond that light, yet. I think the next Bond may be more classic/Connery-like: more promiscuous, less emotional, more elegant, more mission focused stories. Although he's going to need some distinguishing qualities that we haven't seen from other Bonds less he become a generic Brosnan-like "rent a Bond".

              No, though I do think Ellis might be an okay choice (though what little I've seen doesn't knock my socks off). But not if they try to force Moore-likeness onto him; each Bond actor excels only at a Bond portrayal tailored to his own personal traits, nobody else's, so far.
