Laura Palmer's scream is actually heard in The Weeknd song The Hills.
I always thought it was some autotune sound until I noticed it was some woman screaming….
And I do like the song Sweet But Psycho, but the scream when the song begins always freaks me out!

My ex had me listening to Weeknd, and I couldn't get into him. Seems right up my alley. Like Joy Division meets like hip hop or something, but it was just kinda repetitive. Don't remember that song.

He's actually good. I'm not normally into commercial stuff like that, but he has a fair few bangers

It's the best entry of all of them, with the movie in close 2nd. The original show was great and ahead of its tike, but David and Mark had way more freedom and less cooks in the kitchen with The Return.
A lot of people think it's pure Lynch, but if you know enough about Frost, you definitely see his impact on it.

I'm not sure: it was HBO top tier level at times, then just too ****ing weird.
Honestly, I got to the final episode and never even bothered finishing it. I love Lynch, but it was just too ****ing abstract.
I'll give it another go at some stage. Will watch the whole show from the start.
I liked the original seasons' happy go lucky style and the new season didn't capture this. It was just dark and strange

The ending reminded me of that part in the Rick and Morty interdimensional cable episode where the real fake doors commercial ends and you follow the character to his house and ****. Like the show basically concludes with the penultimate episode, but just keeps going. This is not a bad thing for. Neither are weird and abstract.

That was partly the point. The series is menat to partially be anti-nostalgia. That's what I like instead of doing what everyone else is doing and making an imitation of its former self. Like no matter how hard the creators tried to please fans, the Star Wars sequels sucked.
But yeah, never go into a work of Lynch trying to make sense of it. Approach it like a dream or like at an emotional angle.

You love Rick and Morty 😂. Do you like Bojack Horseman? There's an episode where there's like no dialogue and it's all under water. I watched it with a mate on ketamine - it was quite a bizarre experience

I might have to be in the mood to watch Bojack. It seemed like a good show, but the main character is so unlikable. I know that's kind of the point, but I just couldn't stick with it. Rick is also unlikable, but maybe I caught it at the right time. I don't know why my opinions are inconsistent.
Rick and Morty hasn't been quite as good the past couple seasons. Season 3 seemed like the peak.

Ellen's screams in this scene still haunts me.

For me it is the scene in
                        Run of the Arrow
(1957) when Ralph Meeker is skinned alive by Crazy Wolf (H.M. Wynant).
I saw the movie in 1957 and to this day when it shows up on television, I turn off the sound until it is over.

I'm not saying this is the best, but it is probably my fav cinematic scream
It is realistic, guy wakes up and see's something that scares the **** out of him and he just screams, builds tension really good! This is one of the many reasons I hate the Jurassic World films, because instead of realistic chilling screams that build tension, we get this waffle…
Even if JW was a comedy that would still not be funny. I ****ing hate Colin Trevorrow I really do.

                                Agreed about Shelley Duvall above.
Heather Donahue comes to mind first a lot of times too.
I always like this scene of Domonique Dunne getting out of the 77 Camaro
