You're in your safe space minding your own business and psychos can just break in and terrorize you
Now I'm thinking of the shower scene in Psycho!
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

It's hard not to feel vulnerable in the shower
Of course!
Bed has to be the most frightening place of all!

the scene in It Follows when theyre all hiding in the bedroom upstairs and they let the other girl in and that MASSIVE tall man follows behind her was genuinely terrifying. love that scene. that movie will make anyone walking slowly in ur direction seem sus. also a beautifully shot film too
i’m a huge horror fan but i’m struggling to think of any films that are truly scary
i rewatched the OG blair witch project the other day and that movie for how little of a budget and how little it actually shows is quite scary at moments
check out The Night House if u haven’t seen it. came out last year and while not overly scary it’s a very good film with a great creepy atmosphere -

I remember Wiseau also finding that particular scene really good. It's a shame we lost him. He was an awesome poster
I'm still in contact with soulless btw

YES, the tall man made me jump and I can't even say why.
The theme song for It Follows is my favourite horror theme, as well.
Fully agreed on Blair Witch && Night House. The latter was so psychological, it was wonderful.

the night house is 🤌
I always recommend that one
there’s one scene in that movie that particularly ****s me up bc it perfectly captures a sensation i get when falling asleep and it really got me in the theatre lol
also the director is another ari aster type guy to keep an eye out for. his previous movie The Ritual is fantastic also -

Lake Mungo
, definitely. that movie was hands down the scariest and most disquieting horror movie i have ever seen. i've watched this in broad daylight and it had scenes that had me jump onto my couch standing up, ready to rush out of the room when **** was starting to go down, but i couldn't leave when it was going down bc i wanted to watch the movie and so i kept watching it, remaining in standing up position on my couch for the most part. ugh great horror movie but ****, it is truly horrifying stuff (found footage horror)

right? altho i don't think i will ever be able to rewatch it… the movie haunted me for a while after that, too. not badly, but i couldn't stop thinking about it. it's also a very sad film, actually. the first video i posted is about that. it's one of my fav horror movies, definitely, but one i don't see myself returning to ever again.
