Sopranos was weak… GOT was even weaker…wire was underwhelming…deadwood wasn't even a finale… umbrella academy was absolute horseshit…lost was a ****in joke…most sitcoms have really ****ty finales. Truthfully most shows end dreadfully

80s iconic shows had a few questionable endings
Miami vice had Crockett and tubbs tying up loose ends and ruminating on their futures, which allowed show producers options to spin off. But not a great ending
A-team ended abruptly without any closure at all final episode was just a regular.ratings had fallen so low that network killed it before season traditionally over
MASH ending obviously highlighted the absurdity of war but viewers still hated it -

well if we are talking about a REBOOT then Gandalf would probably not be involved as Toney at least, if it is to be a true reboot and not a continuation.
A TV show reboot is a
fresh start
for an established franchise, discarding previous storylines and continuity to begin again with the same concept but
with new actors, stories, and potentially a modernized setting
But, if they did do this ( a true reboot ) and if Gandalf was still alive he would almost certainly have a cameo or make regular cameos as a new character.
But honestly, I think the sopranos was so culturally impactful and Gandafal so revered for the role that it would be impossible to replace him, it would never be as good.
This is why I fear we will never get a Jurassic Park remake and instead will just keep on getting ****ty sequels that get worse every time, because JP was so perfect that the very thought of redoing it is sacrilege.
Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.
