    These are some very early schedules. I assure you that, by 1949, the programming hours (at least in New York City) were much longer and the programming more varied.

      Such great stuff found in old newspapers. If you don't mind my asking, where did you acquire the information? I'm very much interested in acquiring newspaper information of long ago, especiallyu for the New York City area. Could you steer me to the best website that acquires such information, especially TV listings for the 1950s and sixties. Thank you in advance.

          Don't know if this is still useful, but most local libraries have old newspaper catalogs dating back to the 1800's where you can view the papers in their entirety.
