    And here's why.
These are all the shows that were primarily produced in the 1960's that I watched over and over in re-runs in the 70's and 80's or I was able to find on video in later years and then fell in love with.
What do you think of these shows? Are there any 60's shows that you love that aren't on this list?

    Gomer Pyle USMC
    Mchale's Navy
    Please Don't Eat the Daisies
    Hazel
    The Ghost and Mrs. Muir

    The Beverly Hillbillies
    Petticoat Junction
    The Mothers-In-Law
    The Lucy Show
    Hogan's Heroes
    My Three Sons
    The Monkees
    The Dick Van Dyke Show
    Gidget
    The Flying Nun
    Family Affair
    Mr. Ed
    Science Fiction
    Star Trek
    The Twilight Zone
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

While I agree, there were many memorable and great shows..
I grew up watching many of these in re-runs in the 70's, but I hate to say, when viewing many of them today, some come off pretty well, but a lot of them do not live up to my nostalgic view of them.
I love many of the theme songs and beginning credits and so on, but actually watching them today is pretty tough going.
I guess many are just dated or not as good as I remembered.
Not bashing on them, but I guess a memory of an old show being great is often more the reality.
I do love the twilight zone still, dated and all!
Some of the comedies ehh not so much.
You forgot "The Prisoner" one of the truly great shows of all time!

Well I bet you watched them in re-runs over and over during the 70's like I did. For me most of them are still watchable.

Of course, especially Star Trek,Leave it to beaver, Lost in space, Avengers, Man from Uncle, F-troop, Gilligan Island, Beverly Hillbillies, I dream of Jeannie, and several others.
Put it this way, I have to be in the mood for some of them!
The ones I feel aged best are:
          Twilight zone
          Leave it to beaver
Some of the humor in Andy Griffith, Gilligan's Island, Beverly Hillbillies, I dream of Jeannie, etc, was maybe better when I was much younger!

Of those listed, I have seen:
Gilligan's Island - last year I finally watched the entire series and I really did enjoy it, I doubt a show like this will ever work again
Bewitched - I used to watch this every night on Nick at Nite, I had no idea at the time it had color episodes, but as much as I loved the first two seasons I lost interest about halfway through season 3
F Troop - I just finished the entire series and loved it, it is absolutely absurd, often hilarious, Ken Berry with some astonishing physical comedy
Green Acres - I have seen about 20 episodes of this and enjoyed them all, I will eventually watch the whole series
Hogan's Heroes - watched the first three seasons, very enjoyable show, Klink and Schultz kinda steal the show, they are both hilarious
Star Trek - maybe my favorite series ever, it's hard to believe this was made in the 1960s
The Twilight Zone - right up there with Star Trek, storytelling at its finest, incredible actors
Lost in Space - I liked the first season a lot, then it quickly becomes incredibly silly to the point I stopped watching
Mission Impossible - only seen the first season, it was excellent, I plan on watching the rest
The Wild Wild West - amazing first season, a wonderful hybrid of western and SF, plan on watching the rest
