It always felt like an underrated show to me, as it was more than just Alyssa Milano's first major role. The main cast had excellent chemistry, there was great comic timing, and it had a nice run of consistency for a couple seasons. It's the sitcom that never blew up but I always thought it deserved to.
Unless I'm wrong. How popular was Who's the Boss during its run, for anyone who lived through that period (1984-1992)?

I love Whos The Boss I wish Nick @ Nite would play Whos The Boss instead of the shows from the early 00s and a couple of shows from the 90s. The 80s has some great sitcoms.
Anyways, Whos The Boss used to come on HallMark channel back in 2009 I think they stopped airing the show. -

New fan of this show. Tony Danza and Judith Light are hilarious, and make for a great duo as well. I also like the kids, especially Tony's daughter Samantha.
I admit, it can get a bit too cheesy and predictable, but the great jokes make up for it. Glad to see someone else here who likes this show. -

Have you been watching it on TV? I tried looking for airings a while ago but I can't find any network that's showing it right now.

I was a kid that grew up in the 80's cuz I was born in 1975 and remember all of the shows also this show it had a great cast and Alyssa was my 1st tv crush I had all of her posters on my bedroom walls back then. Also the rest of the cast was good,I wish they would put this back on in reruns on eather Cozi Tv or Family Net also antenna tv.

See I remember it well when it was on TV and in the back of my head though I keep it to myself daily I'm still reminded of the show. I remember Mona she was my favorite I also remember Jonathan and Sam.
How popular was it? Well I watched it from the get go and though I'm ashamed to admit it now I think I watched every week and never missed and episode at least during its first run. Until you brought up the ratings I always thought it was the most popular show. I'm surprised they went down during the later years, as I much enjoyed it from 1988-1992. That was my favorite time period for it along with watching it in syndication which I gave up watching past 1996
