Dinosaur TVit would feature TV genres that don't really exist anymore. It
would broadcast vintage TV "Movies of the Week" from their heyday in the 1970s,
plus old comedy-variety shows of the past. Friday and Saturday nights would be
packed with classic horror films (especially the really cheesy ones), introduced by a live-action host dressed up as a vampire or a mad scientist type. Sunday evening would have a foreign film program. Daytimes would be full of kiddie shows
with live-action hosts, who would present classic cartoons and comedy shorts with
the Little Rascals, Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, the Three Stooges, etc. The host would make sure to explain to the kiddies about the un-PC elements of some of the old films, plus warn them about how not to hit each other over the head with hammers and poke each other in the eye the way Moe, Larry and Curly always did. The afternoon might have some "Dark Shadows" type soap opera. The station would go off the air
every night with a recording of "The Star-Spangled Banner," followed by an hour or
so of a test pattern. Then the day would begin all over again with some cartoon shows.
I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!
    Hewwo.

I'd watch that, and I have a suggestion: it is possible to also have anthology series on the network? Could be classics or new ones, either way it's about time someone bring back the anthology series (a genre which is the absolute antithesis of what is popular today)

I'm not American but I can think of plenty of interesting ideas for US networks:
          The Kinescope Network
. Dedicated to shows from the late-1940s to early 1970s that were recorded as kinescope recordings. Along with US kinescopes, they could also show British and Australian programs recorded as telerecordings.
          Game Show Channel
. What "GSN" used to be.
          The Silent Network
. A channel dedicated to silent films.
          Foreign Classic Television
. Classic TV from non-English speaking countries.
          The Short Film Channel
. A channel dedicated to short films ranging from every period in cinema.
          Worst Films Ever Made Channel
. Admit it: Many people would watch a channel dedicated to really awful movies along the lines of "Plan 9 From Outer Space".
          The 1930s Channel
. 1930s films. Duh. Throw in some 1930s newsreels, home movies taken in the 1930s (yes, some people actually did that, though it was expensive), hell they could even show 1930s German TV programming (some of which survives to this day because it was filmed instead of being live).
          Fireplace Channel
. You know the "Yule Log" that appears on a New York City station? Well, an entire channel of something like that.
          TV on Shuffle
. Exactly. TV on shuffle. You never know what to expect next.
          The Shinto Channel
. Every religion has its own channel except the Shinto religionthough I admit such a channel would largely consist of anime series like "InuYasha".
          The Classic Commercial Channel
. Classic, retro commercials. I'd watch that.
TV Movies of the 20th Century Channel
. TV movies produced and shown during the 20th Century.
I know of these suggestions are good and some are very questionable, I hope somebody finds one of them to be interesting.

All of your suggestions would be vastly superior to what's on a lot of channels
            these days.
Could we call the silent movie channel the "SHHH" network?
I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

              That could be arranged.
I had another idea, but it's very silly: "The Lucy Channel". It would include the various Lucy series ("I Love Lucy", "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour", "The Lucy Show", "Here's Lucy" and "Life with Lucy"), Lucille Ball's specials, other TV programs featuring Lucy, films with Lucy.but that's not all. It would also include "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", "I Married Joan", "December Bride", "Laverne and Shirley", "Marge and Jeff" and other "Lucy"-type shows. It would also feature the 1930s/1940s screwball comedies which inspired "I Love Lucy".
I know it's a very silly idea, but still

A channel that plays Seinfeld (greatest show of all time) 24/7.

Ive always thought an uncensored sports network would be a HUGE draw! It would be like HBO meets ESPN.. When will this happen?!

                      The Missing Believed Wiped Channel

                      • Dedicated to shows which are incomplete in the archives, like "Hancock's Half Hour", "Shadow Squad", "Rocky King, Detective", "Cavalcade of Stars", "My Living Doll", "The Match Game" (1960s version), "Countdown" (Australian series), etc etc.
Probably a silly idea, but still.

Old Movies Network - I would show old movies like TCM but without a premium charge.

Some of my ideas are silly, I admit:
                          The Nudie Channel

                          • Nudie films from the 1960s/1970s
                            The Shakespeare Channel
                          • There have been a lot of film and TV adaptations of his works. Make an entire channel dedicated to them.
                            The Cold War Channel
                          • Dedicated to films and TV shows related to the cold war (such as "Get Smart", etc)
                            The Prelinger Channel
                          • Dedicated to showing the various films and things in the Prelinger archives
                            The Video Game Channel
                          • Duh.

                            The Classic Cooking Channel

                            • Dedicated to cooking shows from the 1950s to 1990s.
                              The Sudsy Channel
                            • Dedicated to showing classic soap operas.
I hope these two suggests aren't too bad.
They should release more films and TV shows on DVD and Blu-ray

There are a number of 1960s soaps I'd like to see from the beginning: "Days of Our Lives", "The Story of Peter Grey", "Coronation Street", etc. These shows were lucky enough to have their episodes kept, while many other soaps of the 60s were wiped
1970s, 1980s, 1990s soaps would also be of interest to me. 1950s soaps also interest me, but only a single 1950s soap survives near-intact (it's an obscure Australian series which ran for 156 episodes, 155 survive)
I want a signature involving brave swordsmen, kinescopes, and soft drinks

Lifetime movie network LMN. Only movies all day. All the movies that play during the day would replay over night. So everyone gets a chance to watch. When the am comes again different movies would play. 80's, 90's and now a years. It would be great 🙂

                                          DuMont Television Network II

                                          • A channel which recreates the 1950s TV experience, with 1950s shows of all genres, and featuring only 1950s commercials. I can dream, can't I?
                                            The Home Movie Channel
                                          • Dedicated to homes movies from 1930s/1940s/1950s/1960s/1970s that were shot on film. I'm probably the only person who would watch this.
                                            The 1980s Music Video Channel
                                          • Give the people what they want!
                                            The Cloud Channel
                                          • Videos of clouds in the sky. I'm probably the only person who would watch this.
                                            The Channel Channel
                                          • A channel which informs us of what to watch on other channels.
                                            The Ninja Channel
                                          • Bring back ninja services, and give those cuddly assassins their own channel. I'd watch it.
                                            The Live Channel
. A channel for which all the shows are aired live, including the comedies, dramas, game shows, kids shows, etc.
                                            The Oops Channel
                                          • A channel dedicated to showing bloopers, outtakes, deleted scenes, etc.
I hope these aren't the worst TV channel ideas everI admit some of them are a bit odd.
I want a signature involving brave swordsmen, kinescopes, and soft drinks
