I would give 2000s nostalgia another good 5 to 10 years.
When "That 70s Show" was big, it was depicting the 70s error in the late 90s in mid 2000s.

I've seen in magazines like Allure and Cosmo that have some Y2K style, and even movies like Lady Bird and Turning Red take place in 2002.

I'm already seeing it and it disturbs me. Like the way people are feeling nostalgic about 3rd wave emo and calling it elder emo. Elder emo is bands from the 80's like Rites of Spring amd Embrace.
