Like it's just lazy now to keep justifying the horrible things the characters do to their "friends" and say "oh that wasn't me" after. They all have so much innocent blood on their hands that IMO none of them deserve to live at the end accept Bonnie, Alaric and Matt. Mystic Falls is like the hellmouth of VA I get it, plenty of baddies but 80 percent of the time the actual villains are supposed to be the good guys but they're just drunk I mean their switch is flipped.

Of course, not being compos mentis is the only way Elena, Bonnie and probably Caroline can forgive all the bad things their men did.

Wait "The bad things their men did"? You mustve forgotten the killing spree Elena and Caroline have both been on. The only one who keeps forgiving these people is Bonnie.

Wholeheartedly agree. It is so incredibly lazy. No one is ever responsible for their actions because their switch is flipped! Why are vampires so weak emotionallly that they need all this switch flipping anyway? This is one of my biggest problems in the show, over reliance on the same tropes and lack of consequences of actions.
I dont think any of them deserve to live. If they aren't murderers, they enable murderers. I may give a pass to Jeremy though.
