bifold closet doors: a subhuman's invention

What's wrong with them? I have them, and they don't give me any problems. I hated the sliding ones in my childhood home. It was a ranch style built in 69 I think. I remember them getting stuck andnot being able to close them.

one came out of the track and it does not go back in
like, there's physically not enough clearance for the bottom and top pivots to go back into their little holes. I've tried everything and it's just physically impossible to the point where I have to assume it was never installed properly which is probably why it's falling apart randomly
yea I thought about replacing with sliding doors but those are annoying as **** having to constantly move them back and forth to access the whole closet
anyways I also don't like that bifold doors make noise when they are opening and closing
I want to replace these with french doors but then I'd have to do at least one other closet or it'd look weird

There's gotta be a way to fix it. Just spend some time monkeying around with it.
Some bifolds don't have a bottom track. We have two that don't.
They're really not needed. Try taking the bottom track off.
