Although OLTL is gone, the character of Todd Manning has come to GH and remains a favorite bad guy with a sense of whimsical humor. He began as the leader of a college rape and the writers planned him as a short term baddy, but the worse he got the audience loved him, even after he tried to rape his victim again as well as kill his blind lawyer. Don't grin. He turned out to be heroine Viki's half brother and partial heir to the Lord fortune. Dorian's niece Blair went after him for his money. Long story, but he's done so many rotten things and yet tries to make things right (making them worse) most fan root for him. Actor Roger Howarth left the role for 8 years and his replacement, although an excellent actor, never really convinced fans he was Todd. OLTL watchers were overjoyed when he returned to the role last May and it was revealed the phony Todd was actually Victor, Todd's brother. Many GH viewers were unhappy that OLTL cast came to their show, but now Roger has been throughly assimilated as a GH favorite and he's still doing great bad things to help other people. Roger Howarth has a sense of delivery which few TV actors match and always brings out the best in whichever actor or actress he's playing against. Currently he's involved with Heather Webber and a baby switch but driven by guilt and wanting to make things right he keeps us watching daily to see what he'll do. Roger is great!

I wouldnt call Todd Manning a villain though, more like an anti-hero(emphasis on the anti)
He has shown too many redemptitive layers to be considered an all out villain (allthough he was a full blown villain in the begining) -

Grantch,
I forgot (silly me) to include Keith Whitney/Jonah Lockwood and Stephanie Martin, both on THE EDGE OF NIGHT, late 60s, early 70s.
What did you think of them ? And Henry Slesar's writing of their shenanigans ? -

You omitted my favorite EoN baddy who aroused desire in teenagers and married women alike, Rick Oliver. Everyone thought he was the best thing that ever happened in Monticello, only Martha Marceau saw through him and when Laura Hillier murdered him, Martha was arrested. It was always rough to be related to Police Chief Bill Marceau. His daughter Judy was framed for murder by lascivious Teresa Vetter (who'd poisoned her husband so she and her lover could take over the numbers racket and when her many crimes seemed to catch up with her started to seduce the D.A. - you can catch a glimpse of her with the D.A. in "Driving Miss Daisy") Judy was saved from the Vetter frame) by Lt. Ed Gibson (a pre-Dallas Larry Hagman) then went nuts and tried to kidnap the Capices' daughter; Chief Marceau's second wife Martha was framed TWICE for murder (Rick Oliver and a few years later Taffy Simms) as well as being thought a goofball because she believed her new house to be haunted. Oh, how I miss that glorious serial. Great narrative, intriguing mysteries. Both Irving Vendig who created the show and Henry Slesar who wrote it for many years were soap opera geniuses!

We must also give a HUGE Shout-Out to the wonderful LARRY BRYGGMAN, who played the sleazy Dr. John Dixonthe conniving ex-husband of the beautiful Kim, played by Kathryn Hays.
I do hope he won't upset Henry -

Jilly Stewart (played by Peta Toppano) in Return to Eden
Wendy Hughes coolly played her in the mini series, and she was very good as the "bimbo-chic" best friend and femme fatale.
Toppano in the series ramped it up to number 11 by playing Jilly as a vile, neurotic, hell cat A scheming witch and tramp!
