Jack has the most iconic quotes from the most iconic movie characters.
Jack has played roles in nearly every movie genre imaginable aside from full on action.
Jack has worked with more famous directors than DDL.
Jack has worked opposite with nearly all of leading actresses and then some until his retirement. From Streep to Basinger…
Jack can win awards for supporting roles. That shows versatlity.
50 years ftom now aint nobody gonna remember DDL. You are probably ONE of the two DDL fans here, and you will be dead within 5 years. The other DDL fan here is Bentley.

And yet you have never discussed ANY MOVIES with DDL. I searched. I never saw your name anywhere so…shush! You can just appear from nowhere announcing your support for DDL.

Maybe technically great but no iconic movies like Jack. 50 years from now ling after he passes away, audiences will know Jack. Nobody fcuking talks about DDL.
Nobody fondly impersonates DDL. DDL never uttered an inconic line throughout his entire career.

DDL's approach is like sports - he wins on a technicality.
Nicholson is perfect with the exception of action hero. He can play ANY ROLE from the small, to complex, leading man, supporting actor. And various genres. Played characters in most of the best directors as well.

They just seem like two utterly different people with totally different takes on the types of people they've played.

The closest I ever became to being an actor was a couple of small roles in high school plays and two plays in our local community theater.

I am not a fan of Daniel Day Lewis, either. I think his acting is all too often over the top and I find him boring. I think the only film of his I own has him in a supporting role in The Bounty.
Jack Nicholson wins this by a wide margin. One of the all time greats.

Because they are actors on the same playing field. When DDL decided to become an actor in american cinema, he put himself in the pool of all american actors.
Somehow he thinks that he is king based upon 3 best actor Academy Award wins. That's a technicality. Nicholson is the better, more vesatile actor whose worked with nearly ever critically acclaimed movie director, or popular movie directors and all of the most popular actresses, and other actors in the business.
Now you tell me, could DDL make a Kubrick film iconic the way Nicholson did with The Shinning?
Could DDL make a Tim Burton movie iconic, the way Nicholson has?

Why are you comparing the two?
It would make more sense to compare two actors in the same role…
Jack Nicholson vs Steven Webber in The Shining.
                                          Try comparing those two performances!
JN vs DDL is like apples and oranges!
I could go on and on…
                                          No doubt.
