watching eric idle in the adventures of baron munchausen last night made me think something about comedic actors. they have this inherent responsibility to be funny. i thought this funny thought which was eric idle is talking to a film director and the film director just says to him, "be funny right now."
i mean it a funny thing to think about having to be funny at any moment but they have to be funny at all times and spontaneously without preparing, so stream of consciousness, ad lib, improv comedy has to come out of them without notice.
so when i think about eric idle i think wow he is one of about 10 comedic actors of all time whom is this talented, naturally gifted in his improvisational talents and abilities and skilled of a comedic actor to be this funny, this creatively funny and is also a good actor.
