That could potentially be a cool film? It could add to the "
    Honey I shrunk
" franchise if their even is one or even a reboot. Instead of a kid getting shrunk it can just be everyone in the world or perhaps a town.
Plot could be that a science guy who shrinks everyone by accident via crazy science takes his family to a local police station or science lab or to visit a college of his who could help reverse it all, it would normally be a 10/20 minute drive but as everyone is so small it is like a 4 day hike through a town of cats and dogs and ****. Perhaps this family had a loveable tiny yappy dog that tags along and become their protector when they is shrunk? They could meet a bunch of other tiny folk along the way.
Sounds like it could be a fun family film for the summer, I sure hope a mass shoot'n dont take place at the premier

      Honey, I shrunk M'lard
Millard, same size as usual, wanders around in the backyard, lost in a maze of grass

If you shrunk the whole world wouldn't there be a lot of people dead from animal attacks? Not sure it would make a great family movie. A horror movie could be pretty sweet though.

Yeah I know but this film will just focus on the family and their hijinks and luckily nothing too dramatic happens.
One of the kid's can get carried off by bird to a bird's nest or something. But forget the family dog, it is a family cat that has a particular liking to the child who got carried off, so the parents use the cat who is oh so happy to help to climb the tree, scare off the bird and save the day in good old PG Disney fashion.
Whatever happens outside of the whimsical Disney bubble does not matter my friend, now sit back and enjoy the music as the film reaches it's conclusion and the credit's roll, knowing full well that all the women and children who died horribly at the hands of wild animals and insects does not matter at all because the Szalinski's? They made it, and developed better family bonds as a result

If the ficus is on only this one family then there is no point to the plot involving the entire world's population being shrunk. It can just be this family being shrunk and their quest to unshrink, which was the plot to the whole first movie, so there is basically no point to this entire sequel.

Though your plot has some twists, it's not really new.

1:21 lmfao IMAGINE, telling that crew member who had to duck under the camera and flick bits of bread at a tarantula that in 60 years they would just pay 2 million dollars to CGI that scene
