I didn't have an issue with having the original Holly back BtM, that's science fiction for you - you can never really keep up with it but it all seems to work out in the end

They get Holly back, the Dwarf back and you think yay in next series it will all go back to basics, but it doesn’t. They bring back the full crew, stick our heroes in prison and then we have that cringeworthy scene where they’re all dressed as Dibbly Dibbly walking down a hallway to Reservoir Dogs.

It was really funny because Dibbly was a popular bit in series 4 that people enjoyed AND Reservoir Dogs is a cool film with that iconic bit that people liked to imitate. That was the humour.

She’s watched that episode in series 4 of Red Dwarf which had Dibbly in it and she laughed like the rest of us. I liked it when they brought back Ace Rimmer twice too.

I’ll be honest with you…I watched the first episode of series 8 and then decided ‘I’m out’. The only bits that I caught after that (on accident) was the ending and that Reservoir Doggy Dibbly scene. So who knows…there might have been a really clever story behind it and why it was funny.
