Do you remember x-files episode involving a subdermal chip and Scully?
Scully was at store buying food. as she placed items on conveyor scanning table, she moved her arm over the laser beam and triggered alarms
Turns out she had a microchip implanted -

If it was legal, harmless for the kid then yeah straight up, would be a no brainer.
But, given who REALLY runs the world? It will never happen, tech like that will never be legal if invented. They would state privacy laws or someshit, all so the global child sex trafficking industry can continue.
It would be a thing already if the powers that be wanted it to be. -

It will happen eventually. Maybe not in our lifetime, but it’s coming. I don’t know how I feel about it. My dogs are chipped, but I don’t know if a kid being chipped is the same thing.

I was using the microchipping that we use in pets just as an example. I'm sure there would be a number of differences.
I agree with you that it will happen eventually, but I do think it'll happen in our lifetime.
One of the (many) reasons I can't find myself supporting this idea is something that was brought up earlier by Uncreative. Kids need to be kids and with that, it means they need to find their wings after we give them their roots, and part of that includes things like the freedom to explore and learn without being watched 24/7. The "flaw" I see with what I just wrote is that I also believe parents need to be far more engaged in their children's lives than they are, but I do think that can be done without putting microchips in their bodies and can be achieved by simply spending more quality time with them.
