….almost always hot?

That’s a hard call. It can go up to the 100’s here in the summer, and single digits in the winter. Wish it could be spring and fall all year long. But I guess at least with the hot weather you could be outside early and late in the day, plus cool off in the ocean or a lake or a pool. Plus less clothing to be bothered with.

Here in the upper Midwest, I'd say we get both. Slightly heavier on the cold months.
There are bad conditions in some of those cold states, and some truly bad ones in those states where it's hot.
I'll stay where I am. It isn't perfect, but what is? At least I'm use to dealing with it.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Easily the latter. When I was in prison, I always went outside in the snow and sub-zero weather wearing only my T-shirt and no jacket. Whenever anyone said anything to me about it, I always told them that "I'm a real gangster. Real gangsters don't need jackets."
At Terre Haute FCI, I kept my windows open with no heat on during winter. I've always been quite fond of the cold, which is pretty ironic considering that I'm from Florida. -

Obviously since you live on the
frozen tundra
of New England! If I HAD to choose, I would choose hot.
