I wouldn't call this my "favorite of all time" but I did like the Paul and Linda McCartney movie with Elizabeth Mitchell as Linda.
Also, and this surprised me, Brad Garrett did a good job as Jackie Gleason in that movie. I liked that one as well.
Another one that I just thought of that was pretty good was The Three Stooges and I don't even know who played who but I was pretty impressed with it. I am not even a fan of the three stooges but I like bios.

The one that affected me the most when I saw it was
      Gorillas in the Mist
      .
      I just watched
      Lenny
this week, and that really summed it all up.

Two movies came out, that profiled two legendary music masters. Busey portrayed
Charles "Buddy" Holley, the lead singer of the Crickets;Valens was also legendary and died in the same crash as Holly. Lou Diamond Philips brought to life that artist who was cut down in the "dawn" of his career.I am torn and think both films were awesome!

I'd have to say Chaplin Richard Attenborough's films always leave me thinking about them for days afterwards, a truely remarkable film and subject!

Amadeus, amazing costumes and locations and majestic music. And F.Murray Abraham is outstanding as Salieri.

Never been a fan of biopics, but Frida really had an impact on me. I don't remember who won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role that year, but Salma Hayek really deserved it. A real shut-up for anyone who questions Salma's acting abilities.

Well I enjoy Biopics about reall geanious that i didn't hear about them before or were too smart that went a little bit crazy Like Howard Hughes in the aviator or Jhon Nash in a beautiful mind
Other type of biopics I like are about really old Kings and Queen when they really ruled their countries.
Elizabteh with Cate Blanchet about Elizabeth Tudor, the Tv movie Catherine the great with Catherine Zeta Jones about Catherine The Great and The Other Boleyn Girl about Anne Boleyn
Other great biopics i discovered after writing this post I'd say are Schindler's List, Malcolm X and Quills.

I may have it tied with
                                Brian's Song (about Piccolo-Caan & Gale Sayers-Dee Williams)
Selena (with Lopez) was also sad and moving

Taking into consideration that Hollywood bios are generally 80% bull, some of the more entertaining are (in no particular order):
                                  Yankee Doodle Dandy
                                  Man of a Thousand Faces
                                  The Miracle Worker (1962)
                                  Gypsy
                                  Houdini
                                  Spartacus (well, there
                                  was
a Spartacus, even if the movie is fiction)
                                  The Spirit of St. Louis
                                  The Jolson Story/Jolson Sings Again
To God There Is No Zero. I Still Exist.
