Not bad, not bad, but it might turn out a bit too much like "Goodfellas" or "Scarface". A rise-and-fall movie with Michael Pena as the main guy.

I'll second a Gary Cooper movie though I wonder about Ewan MacGregor playing himI like Renee Zellwegger playing Doris Day. The one that stopped me cold was Justin Timberlake as Fred Astaireyou're serious? Why Justin Timberlake?

A TV movie was made about Louis Armstrong was made back in the late 70's early 80's with Ben Vereen playing him, but I think Satchmo is worthy of a theatrical biopic. Gary Oldman as Karl Marx sounds like an awesome idea.

I put down Fred Astaire because I know he can dance (not as well as Astaire) and he looks like Astaire!

Hmmmmmmmm, I don't knowI have to wonder if Timberlake is a mature enough screen presence to be believable as Astaire would age throughout such a film.

Brownsapplanceservi-1 posted some very good ones. I would like to see a lot of those get made. Here's what I'd add that he hasn't said
              George Burns
              Rodney Dangerfield
              Milton Berle
              Lucille Ball
              Danny Thomas
              Wilt Chamberlain
              Ray Combs
              Herve Villechaize
              Buster Keaton
              Zero Mostel
              WC Fields
              Phil Hartman
              Alfred Hitchcock
              Flip Wilson
              Orson Welles
              Gene Wilder
              Walter Cronkite
              Steve Allen
              Howard Cosell
              Charles Nelson Reilly
              Joe Namath
              Roberto Clemente
Johnny Carson 1925-2005. We will never forget you.

I'd love to see Debra Messing in a biopic about Lucille Ball.I'm thinking maybe Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Alfred Hitchock? I think Phil Hartman's life would make a really great movie, though I'm drawing a blank on casting. There was a film made circa 1976 called WC FIELDS AND ME which focused on WC Fields and his relationship with mistress Carla Menotti. Rod Steiger played Fields and Valerie Perrine played Carlotta. A movie about Ray Combs might be interesting, but if it were done, it would be done for TV, not a theatrical film. I don't see a film being done about Gene Wilder while he's alive. I love the idea of a film about Joe Namath, who would you cast in that one? As much as I loved Charles Nelson Reilly, I can't see his appeal being strong enough to merit a biopicif they did, like Combs, it would be for TV only.

I agree with Isaac5855 about a Lucille Ball, but I think There is one person that could play her brilliantly,.. Fran Drescher, I saw her take her off in an episode of "The Nanny." I would guess she is a big fan of hers anyway, judging by many of her facial expressions and actions.

An honest factually accurate biopic on Zero Mostel would be fascinatingwho would you cast?

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes- Kyla Pratt. Her age bares no meaning over her career, because she hasn't saw much physical change. She's still getting cast as a teenager, because she still looks young enough to play one, even though she's almost a 30 year old mom. She needs to do a biopic about Lisa Lopes A.S.A.P. I don't care if the movie is theatrical or made for tv, she's perfect for the role, and I wish someone else took notice while she still has a babyface and a miniature voice.
                          Lisa Lopes:
