That sounds wonderful. I have always lived close to water and can't imagine not doing so. Luckily, I'm close to lakes, the ocean, mountains, and a moderate drive to reach the city. I would never want to live where we couldn't have our four season!

I'd love to live by the sea, but not in a tropical climate. Atlantic Canada would suit me fine as I'm originally from there and could live there easily. The seafood there is amazing. The people are generally warm and friendly…quite the difference from Ottawa.
I'm lucky to have a river at the end of my street where I am now. 36 years this June that I've been here! -

Definitely Atlantic is my favourite. Having lived at both Atlantic and Pacific, my spirit connects with the icy cold of the Atlantic very easily. I've got swimming in October! (I know, crazy eh?)
You have a river at the end of your street? That is wonderful! I'm sure it sounds beautiful. Running water is truly healing.

You poor little kumquat. I can crush watermelons with my thighs. Think carefully.
Now, go sit in the corner, and think about what you've done.

The loons on the lakes are also striking.
The geese, ducks, loons and all of the other wildlife are never our pets, but far enough north, people here place a great deal of emphasis on land preservation.

Agreed. I used to see those tall, white birds (cranes?) once in a while, but it's been a long time since I've seen one. They were usually by themselves. I don't think they fly in a flock. They're very loud, but I liked hearing them.

Probably by the ocean.
I definitely prefer drier climate to one where it's humid all summer which is why I'd prefer to live west of the Rockies.
The only exception to that rule would be someplace like Hawaii which would be the only tropical climate I'd probably want to live in.
I love the mountains and living near a lake up there would be great to me, but sometimes you don't have easy access to medical facilities, certain stores that you have near bigger cities. It's remote also. I also love being near ocean. Washington and Oregon have both, but dreary 9 months out of the year. -

I can definitely see you as an ocean babe. You'd fit right in. I know you appreciate your mountain retreats, but I still imagine you living by the Pacific Ocean.
You would love Hawai'i. I think you'd like most of the islands, but especially the big island because it's the closest you can get to having beaches, wild landscape and still a big city life if you choose. Very popular. The islands are highly feminine and the energy is calm.
