It's interesting that we've developed political correctness and taken it to absurd levels. But when you look at the brutality suffered by those who were 'different' in the past, it's more understandable.

One of David Lynch's more 'normal' films, and he proved that he can do anything! Another of his 'straight' movies is The Straight Story. I loved the concept of an old man travelling across America, on a ride-on mower, to see his dying brother. It was touching, and funny and unforgettable.

I've never seen one of Lynch's more 'normal' films. I am curious about this one.
I would imagine that he still imbues everyday commonplace acts with a type of unique perspective he did on Twin Peaks? I mean I mentioned how hilarious I thought it was that on Twin Peaks Josie called a cup of coffee a "cup of joe". It's the detail which draws me to Lynch.
