Check out Mad Love! Peter Lorre in a loose remake of The Hands of Orlac, from the director of The Mummy (who was also the cinematographer of Metropolis, Berlin: Die Sinfonie der GroΓstadt, Dracula and Key Largo).
Even the Wind is Afraid is a Mexican gothic horror. When I read Silver Nitrate a while back, I mentioned on the books thread that a film was referenced that I'd never heard of it. It's this one. Haven't watched it yet.
Come to Daddy was recommended and I've vowed to look up nothing about it until I watch it.
And stop hating on Phantom of the Paradise!

Starting out my October Halloween horror movie binge watching with this low-budget slasher flick called Blood Red Beach that I'm seeing tonight after work. I'm watching the Japanese horror film Deadly Waves on Thursday night. Friday night is a rewatch of The Mad Doctor of Blood Island. I'm rewatching the low-budget sci-fi/horror flick Predator Island on Saturday night. Sunday night is the slasher sequel Blood Cove 2: Return of the Skull.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -
