I know you didn't mean to but you have a third horror title in there.
    Saw!
    LOL
I thought these movies were a refreshing twist on the horror genre.
As for Get Out it deals with racial and political issues.
I dunno if Us is about that at all.
And I dunno if you want to even bother trying to appreciate them but there are videos out there that show the subtle hints, such as "Hands Across America" in Us, and other things that explain them which helped me understand them better.

I know, I noticed that but I figured nobody would get drifted. lol.
I wouldnt think of Get out as a horror movie and I thought the movie was poorly done all around. I thought it was a rise out of political issues.
US I felt had a lot of similarities albeit a different story.
Naw, that movie wasnt good enough for me to look into.

From what I have seen from what you have posted you make it seem as if all you care for is the mindless horror such as when you go nuts over commercial interrupted and censored Chucky movies.
Do you not care for movies that are more thought provoking or is your taste in movies more with mindless garbage?
        Nothing wrong with it.
Just trying to clarify where you are coming from.

Get out wasn't really thought provoking though, and the protagonist's friend really undermined the film with his character. I thought I was watching pure comedy in the last 40 minutes.

I've never complained about censored Chucky nor think Chucky is mindless horror nor have I complained about commercials.
That's not true, I like plenty of Classic horrors that are interesting and some modern ones. I didnt think these movies provoked a thought but rather a rise of disgust. They werent that good and it's a shape because they are thought of as great. Some recent ones that I havent thought were too bad was Dont Breathe, Carrie Remake, Saws of course, The Collector, The Conjuring, Insidious, Purge, I can probably make a big list, these two didnt fit the mole and didnt really feel like that horror to me.

There was never indication that Chucky was ever into boys. Through and through he's always been into girls.

Haven't seen US, but I thought
                      Get Out
                      was pretty average.
The plug they get is for the black casting and woke promotion.

yea, it's bullshit. It's whack af. With all the hype I was expecting something groundbreaking. I have it under average in my book.
It's(US) quite similar and way overrated for the promotion it got.
I can clearly say I didnt like both of them.
I am starting the new Candyman and it's having the same vibe as above.

                          Hi.
I'd love that Latin copy of the movie. Did you watch it yet? You're very kind
                          and, a gentlemen.

These films would have been considered blaxploitation in the 70's and they were a lot of fun for all audiences away from all this current era's race baiting.
Now these films are made to give the entitled ones some niche and piece of the film market, which is supposed to assist with some equality Hollywarped pc movement.
                            I really liked the original
                            Candyman - '92.
I avoided the reboot and will continue to avoid it.
The reverse has happened for me. I won't go and see these black virtue signalling productions because they are being pushed down our throats for the wrong reasons and a distorted woke agenda. I'm sure many others will feel the same.
                            I saw
                            Malignant
the other night at the cinema and I thought it was pretty darn good, spooky and creepy. It had woke casting though and the black female older cop and Eurasian younger male cop dynamic was off and so so obvious why it was cast like this.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

huge K & P fan but Get Out was all hype
Us was better but still noyhing transcendent
some people never watch good movies and are stunned when they see something competently made
