Curse of Frankenstein
Malignant
Two first time viewings…
The Reef
Malignant
Sleeper Hit…
The Reef.
Loosely based on a true story. well made…good use of limited budget…well acted by largely unknown cast…well paced! -
— 4 years ago(October 14, 2021 02:29 PM)Cool beans! The Reef? Jaws type stuff?
I'm just about to start watching AHS 1984 and will probably watch Beetlejuice at some point this weekend.
I bought a pumpkin today, Mr.D was being all bah humbug about getting one since he's "fed up of hollowing them out" as if I make him hollow out 3000 pumpkins a day all year round! -

For Halloween, I am actually planning to do something that I have been wanting to do but still haven't which is to watch "
THE THING
" 2011 Prequel and "
John Carpenter's THE THING
" back to back.
I have heard that it is actually (for Fans of the "
THE THING
" Movies) a Pretty Fun experience. -

I hope that at some point in the future, they will release a version of "
THE THING
" 2011 Prequel that actually still has all of the original practical effects (before they got covered over with CGI) still in it. -

UPDATE BUMP
The Believers
Daybreakers
Maggie
Only one was a first time viewing…Maggie.
Although I could hardly remember Daybreakers.
All three were really good. My wife had never seen the 1987 flick The Believers…loved it! Even though we had little memory of Daybreakers…we both dug it. Maggie was a real sleeper hit for us.
Arnold's performance was top of his game and Breslin turned in a heart wrenching portrayal of a terminally ill teenager in this out of the norm zombie flick…

I've decided that this is NOT a list…but instead a record of achievement!!! -
— 4 years ago(October 17, 2021 07:09 PM)I've not seen Maggie *makes note to add to list/record of potential films.
The Believers is brilliant, I love anything Voodoo related. The Serpent and the Rainbow is another good one in that genre, with one scene guaranteed to make men squirm!
Daybreakers is good stuff too. -

i just watched the believers and holy **** the part when his girl is getting infected is so creepy. the creepiest part is when a freaking spider comes out of her face. didn't that make yo squirm ad disturb you?

UPDATE BUMP
Hotel Transylvania
Mad Monster Party
31
Pet Semetary (remake)
You're Next
First Time viewing…
Mad Monster Party
31
Pet Semetary
No real sleeper hits this time. You're Next is awesome and would have claimed the title
…but I've seen it a few times. Mad Monster Party was a hoot…but not really a hit. 31 was a contender…****ty ending though. Pet Semetary was meh! -
