I'm a stickler for following the original source material to a relative degree. The only thing I would have changed about the prom scene is having the teacher survive.

There was also this TV version from the early 2000s which wasnt bad. Chloe Grace Moretz was way too pretty to play Carrie in the 2013 version

That’s one you’d watch if you’re looking for the most faithful to the book page for page and not interested in how good the film is in itself. It has a Lifetime made-for-tv feel; more of a biopic less a visual horror. Performances were meh.
