I'll see what tomorrow morning looks like.
I was just outside after taking the dog out and even this evening, the moon looks absolutely beautiful. It actually does look milky, hazy and reddish. It's glowing very bright and has quite an aura.

I've noticed that as well. Even last night. That's what I attributed the milky hazy aura to. With the weather changing from warm to cold, warm to cold, and with so much ice still around, we've had a lot of fog.
Every now and then, we've had some beautifully clear evenings, however. Last night was still beautiful, however.
