It sucks, doesn't it? I friggin' hate losing power. Luckily when it went down here, it wasn't for too long, and it wasn't super hot. It makes my dog nervous, though. He picks up on it and gets startled.

I swear the power people work slow to get payed overtime lol
Since the systems are blind to the hacks that people can use to their advantage for extra money, they’ll unfortunately utilize them against other people’s desires just for the extra money; others might just be too incompetent to get the job done within a timely manner though, lol.

I have a generator, but it's one that I have to haul out, turn the breakers off, make sure there's gas in it, etc. BUT, I screwed up, and I didn't prime it off-season, so now the sucker is dead. It's a HUGE loss to me in so many ways. I need to get a new one.
Most of the generators on the street are this type, but one neighbour has the kind that turns on automatically every time the power goes out, so the family is never without power. Doesn't that sound divine?

I can't believe that I lived in a dreadful part of Boston, in a dreadful apartment, that was dreadfully hot, without even a single window A/C. It was….dreadful.

Around here, almost every living space includes an air-conditioning unit simply because of the fact that the average day during the summer is around 95 degrees with rain, and that usually comes with a side of humidity. Since it’s sticky heat, the 95 degree weather feels as if it’s 110 degrees! If people ventilate their place by even opening up a slight gap through the windows for some fresh air, then all kinds of vermin will creep through the holes and intrude upon the peace as unwanted guests as they move in as freeloaders snacking off of my flesh.
I still prefer this weather over Phoenix dry heat though, as that will drink my sweat away until I’m burning into the state of dehydration with heat stroke; whereas, when it’s humid, you don’t run out of fluids in your system as quickly. Both certainly do have their ways of stripping people down into one layer of cloth that doesn’t exceed elbow level. I could never imagine living in a desert though, lol.
