Fair enough. But I was actually talking about writing them, not reading them. But I do actually occasionally read reviews. For example I might say to myself, hmmm I wonder what Kurt thought of this one.. Go to your profile and read your review

Even that will get boringrating movies that is. The fun of it was to rate and then share with the IMDB community. I think the general idea here is to close the site all together. I'll bet it's gone by the end of the year.
If there is a Muslim ban, they can pretend they're Christians. You know, like Republicans do. -

To be fair, it's good for other things. You can look up credits or read and write movie reviews.
I'm just annoyed because they did not HAVE to let the message boards go to hell as much as they have. You need to put up a few reasonable barriers so people can't create 20 sock accounts or freely troll, pick fights, stalk other users, and generally act like a**holes.
For instance, they could have required people to use their REAL names or review 100 movies before posting or get a recommendation from two other users. I know that would be stopping "free speech", but there is no functional forum of speech in existence where anybody can just come in and be as disruptive and obnoxious as they want to.
