Gottfried
thank you for such a substantive and detailed report. I did in fact try to watch
Jeruzalem
some time ago but I gave up on it early in the film. Nothing that was going on convinced me of anything, and the acting and screenplay seemed sophomoric at best. I just looked at the IMDB page and saw that it's
The PAZ Brothers
who made this film? I suggest that the notorious Mexican horror team of
Los hermanos Escalator
are superior, and they don't even exist.
I wonder if you have seen the Israeli film
Big Bad Wolves (2013)
, which I included as number 6 on my best foreign horror list, even though it's not really a horror- more of a drama/thriller:

I found this to be top shelf brah, top shelf. It boasts a gripping and violent story, convincing acting, and awesome brutality. It's also clever. Have you seen it? I recommend it highly,
9/10
for me. -

Great success! I got a high resolution copy and the English subs synch up perfectly. I just road tested the opening sequence. It even looks to be a found footage I'm so excited to see this one tonight after work. Mexican horror and found footage.. ARRIBA!

this sounds interesting, thanks!
Your description reminds me of an old story by Robert Arthur, called "Footsteps Invisible." I thought it might have been one of the inspirations for It Follows that is probably not true, but it is sort of similar a mysterious creature, mercilessly stalking its human prey. Only its prey can see it, other can only hear its footsteps. It got started as some kind of ancient Egyptian curse there isn't too much detail given, but the story is still really creepy.
