then the star wars prequels, matrix sequels and back to the future sequels made me change my mind.

If a movie is that uninteresting or just plain bad I will let it play out while I do other things around the place, just in case something exciting happens.

yeah, I find myself doing that depending on the subject matter. If it's a boring supernatural I won't bother finish, but if it's a boring monster movie then I'll let it play out just to see how the damn thing is killed. I just did that with Red Billabong last night, almost two hours long and only 10 minutes of monster time.

I always finish a movie, no matter how painful it might be. Still, I usually don't watch anything that I'm not pretty sure I'll enjoy to some degree.

that was part of my strategy for the turkey challenge so I tried as much as possible to stick to creature features or monster movies

I almost always finish a movie. But I always make extra extra sure that i even want to see it. I have to see the trailer first. If I'm still not sure, then I'll maybe read a few reviews. But it's usually based on how the trailer looks. I don't blind buy or blind rent anymore. If I still manage to stumble into a dud, I'll turn it off.

if i fall asleep on my couch watching a movie i will generally not make any effort to rewatch it. after all, if it was boring enough to put me to sleep in the first place, i probably didn't miss much.

If I can't bear it anymore, I will skip a scene or two and see if something changes in pace. Usually by that point I am only staying in the race to see if there is anything worth talking about.

Almost always, but if a movie loses me (and assuming I'm watching at home) I will walk away for a minure, look at my phone, play a game, read an article, make some coffee or whatever and only pay partial attention.

Yes. A minimal amount of manure - 'min' imal + man 'ure' = minure.
Only if the movie is really bad though, and getting a small piece of beep is preferable to continuing to watch.

Generally no but occasionally i'll go through a completest phase. I'm in one right now where I'm watching all the Wrong Turns and all the Indiana Jones. Next i'm thinking of doing the Final Destinations or Hellraisers.

I find bad movies relaxing. With some films I wish watching the first 20 minutes 14 times counted as seeing the whole film.

I see every film to the bitter end, no matter how hard the going gets. I like to give them a fair chance to get better and look forward to writing a scathing review if they don't.
