I like this article. I haven't lived in any REALLY small, rural towns, personally, but I have relatives in Kentucky, and some of the stuff this guy says makes some sense, I think.

He raises some interesting points and the first part of the article about who is red and who is blue is right on. I am always grateful for the citizens of Portland in Oregon because otherwise my state would probably go red (I live in a southern county where there is a mix of red and blue but usually the red has more impact). I used to live in Seattle, San Francisco and Dallas so I know what it's like to be both in the majority and minority among others with the same political slant. Anyway, interesting article.
Coincidentally, I just finished reading This Book is Full of Spiders yesterday (the sequel to John Dies at the End) and it is as much fun to read as the first book was. Recommended.

Yes that pretty much aligns to what I think (though include the ex-blue collar workers).
But the 800 pound gorilla in the room is
        Trump
Who is he? He was born into a uber-rich new york elite family with servants, hes lived his whole like in wealth, he's never cared an iota about the poor at all and in fact has shown disdain his whole life against those less well off, yet somehow we are told to believe about 2 years ago he has an buddah-like epiphany and now is the champion of the downtrodden,
hilarious and some people actually believe this!
yet if you read what he has said he'll do as president, you will see a lot benefits the top 1%, You can't make this up. I love it, A conman conned a lot of the people
we all know the simpsons predicted a trump presidency, but heres a more apropos episode
Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un and ISIS all support TRUMP, you can too, VOTE TRUMP
