Urgh my head, had polished off a 5L mini keg of Heineken and smoked god knows how much of the good stuff when I made this thread
Cranked Candlemass all day until the missus was sick of it
My God it's f#cking amazing sh#t.
Nice! Solid and interesting version but I prefer the original with Johan Längqvist I think. They went through quite a few vocalists eh? I'm still working my way through their discography, Epicus and Nightfall definitely my favorites so far. Any later albums stand-outs for you?

Well f#ck me this is awesome too
This is honestly some of the best stuff I've heard in years. I'm kicking myself for not knowing about them sooner but I probably wouldn't have "got it" when younger, mellowing out a bit and more open minded in my 30s.
Just wall to wall evil f#cking crushing doom riffage everywhere on this LP. I wasn't sure about the vocals at first but I've clicked to them now. Bit of Ozzy in there at times and on the tracks Droid & Arx/NG 891 almost "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" in some ways actually which I grew up with (Tarkus). Not as grand vocally as the early stuff but still haunting and fitting. I really feel the need to own everything Candlemass on vinyl asap.
Thanks again! Will be cranking this album with more beers over Halloween

Glad to hear you appreciate From The 13th Sun. Was not at all excited about it, considering the 2 forgetable albums which came before it. But I was impressed as f#ck by this. Very Sabbathy (Volume 4) with a hint of Pink Floyd as well, and a bit of a sci-fi vibe. I would have preferred more of that as opposed to the 3 Robert Lowe albums. Although, Death Magic Doom is very much worth checking out, if you haven't heard it.
Leif Edling's solo album. Good sh!t, here.
Well, Frank. Looks like another one of those long, hard ones William Kerwin -

Thanks Troma, for providing me with so many hours of joy. But seriously, when the beep is Return to Nuke 'Em High vol. 2 coming out? It's been what, 3 years? Get your beep asses in gear!
