I keep bouncing back between 7 and 8. Think I'll watch it again b4 the challenge is over. Either way it's a really good movie.

I think I initially rated higher after my first viewing on the strength of the creatures effectiveness but after a few subsequent viewings I realized how little screen time it has and how much more prevalent the irritating kid and his fickle mother is. Still, it's an okay film. 6/10

10/10. Excellent psychological horror, great portrayal of mom at the end of her rope and kid who is out of control. It gets better with added viewings.

8/10. A surprisingly deep horror movie with lots of suspense. The monster looked a bit silly (for the 3 seconds(?) it was shown), though, and I agree the kid was super annoying.

It started off pretty creepy, but as it went on I started to lose interest. It really felt like a film that had been adapted and padded from the shorter film that was its inspiration.
6/10

That's exactly the essence of the movie, the kid is supposed to be annoying hence the mother's mental health deteriorating, if the viewer can't stand the kid for 90 minutes that would explain the mother going mental.
