I heard a review of this on the wireless a week or two back that made comparisons to John Waters, Quentin Dupieux and Steptoe & Son, interesting mix. Ben Wheatley & Elijah Wood named as producers now all this love(?) on the board i gotta check it out!

hmm, a little dissapointing after all the hype here. Absurd but not funny, stupid but not gross-out unless you have a grease allergy, and about as much a horror film as Napolean Dynamite is a comedy.
The music was good, the vibe/style of the film was cool and i suppose it's original enough compared to the majority of films out there. But still i dunno maybe im just in the wrong mood -

it is most definately a fun and strange film. i may hae been inadvertantly bias by reading this thread first - i felt like it was trying too hard to be a midnight movie, but maybe the seeds of that had already been planted.
Anyway I'd rather watch a thousand greasy stranglers than one insert generic teen paranoramal guff here so in the end a good rec. cheers! -

A hard core horror fan mate of mine phoned me just the other day after seeing it and he thought it was terrible, so I'm interested in your positive review. But he really thought it was crap.
Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!
