Any nightmare might qualify, and I reckon a lot of our nightmares are inspired by the horror films that we love. But have you had any that haven't been properly filmed or explored?
    For instance:
I don't call myself 'drunkbear' for nothing. When I dry out, I get the DTs. For some very unfortunate drunks, these manifest as real-life hallucinations. For me, they manifest as Snake Dreams. Oddly enough, the snakes are really never aggressive towards me, but they are omnipresent. These were fat and wide-headed, like diamondback rattlers, but they were a (rather beautiful) bright red, with bright yellow bellies, and horns on their heads.
As I said, they never menaced me. But they were placed too close together for me to step between them. When I got into the car, they were under the seat. And they were SWIMMING in the long fescue prairie grass that stands about waist-high.
Second: One night, I dreamed that my little dick broke off. Not got cut off, not got bit off, not just withered up and FELL off, but it BROKE off. It was two weeks before I could get it up, after that one.
Most disturbing: I dreamed that my brain had somehow been removed from my head, and I was carrying it around in a whipped cream bowl, trying to find somebody who could re-install it.
What has your subconscious dredged up?

dreams, no. But once I was so deliriously ill that I hallucinated demons crawling in through the seams of the door coming into my room and the head of a pig floating in the air above me.

Pigs are like clowns: You gotta really love them to not be creeped-out by them when you encounter them in unexpected situations.
I once got bone-loaded-drunk when I was changing anti-depressants. That night, I got menaced an eight-inch-tall robot named 'Briantavious,' standing at the side of my bed, brandishing a chrome sword, and bellowing out his name.

I have very weird and disturbing dreams all the time. Unfortunately they usually fade after an hour or 2. Sometimes the really horrifying ones I remember a little longer.
One of the ones I do remember is waking up in my ex wife's place. It was a huge house and I was totally blind. I was freaking out as I couldn't see a thing. Gradually my vision came back and I started to relax.
I walked by the front door to the house which for some reason was like the front of a Wal Mart or any big box store ie. two rows of double glass doors with a space in between if you get my meaning.
All of a sudden a bunch of people in flame retardant suits showed up at the set of doors. They all had flamethrowers. Me and my ex rushed to lock the inner doors but we didnt make it in time and they rushed in. I ran down the hall and came to another identical set of doors and ran outside. I was immediately seen and chased. Flames licked my back as I ran but I was running out of steam fast as I smoke.
They were catching up fast and I have never been as terrified that I can remember in my life. Burning to death in fire has definitely got to be one of the most painful, and one of my more feared, ways to die. Luckily I woke up at that moment.

I used have a recurring nightmare as a kid about a really large planet on a crash course to earth. It was really large in the sky and getting bigger, and scared the s*hit outta me. Lars von Trier managed to capture it for me in Melancholia.

I had a recent nightmare that i woke up and i was a monster hiding in a hole or something waiting for someone to come by so i can kill them. And my family came by and i knew it was my family so i wasnt going to attack them but my dog came up to me and started barking so i had to. Dont you see? I had to kill them. Kill them all. Ahahahaha
I also had one last night where i was in prison and i got thrown into solitary confinement but they forgot about me so i died.
Ive had a few good ones that would be movies but i dont remember them anymore

I had a dream where I saw a play version of A Christmas Carol that had a Satanic vibe to it.
