I've seen Duel and Maybe I'll Come in the Spring and I enjoy both of them. I own Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring on VHS.

From 1993: Barbarians at the Gate (HBO). - that should have been James Garner's Emmy.

Great list! Too bad most of them cannot be viewed. I would love to see "Isn't It Shocking" again.

                Remembered another one yesterday
Jane Eyre (made in 1971 I think)
George C Scott as Rochester - Susanna York as Jane. Musical score by John Williams!

I also love Murder By Natural Causes! Fantastic movie. I just pulled out my old vhs copy not too long ago. I need to rewatch it!
I also adore Pray for the Wildcats. Andy Griffith is so underrated in his bad guys roles! Remember Savages?

ESCAPE FROM SOBIBOR(1987) is IMHO the best made for TV movie I've ever seen(and I have heaps of favorites) Why this movie was never released on the big screen is a complete mystery to me.

I was just going to add Dark Night of the Scarecrow. Aside from the spate of "very special" subject matter movies like Something About Amelia and the great mini-series like Roots and Shogun I think I have tended to forget most of the rest of the Made for TV material I've watched from the 70s and early 80s. Dark Night of the Scarecrow always seemed a notch above anything else. It could have been a film.
I never saw it but Brian's Song was probably about the same caliber as it got theatrical release after first showing on TV.
                        Eeek!!! I'm getting dressed.

sometimes I forget that this was a made for tv movie great film, great soundtrack.. it did win an Emmy or twobut, just had the movie feal too it.. I keep hearing about them remaking this as a Major Motion Film not sure if its true.. but would be amazing if they did.
(though Peter Strauss was sooo good in this)

All this time and nobody said "Brian's Song" the original, not the remake.

                              The 1970's was without a doubt THE decade for made-for t.v. movies. The ABC T.V. Movie of the Week was the pioneer of this format, the brainstorm of Aaro Spelling Productions. A majority of the films had a supernatural tone to them. My favorites are as follows;

                              1. " The Night Stalker " (1971)
                              2. " The House That Would Not Die " (1970)
                              3. " The Norliss Tapes " ( 1973)
                              4. " Crowhaven Farm " (1970)
                              5. " Gargoyles " (1972)

Tv movies are my favorite. They are so much fun! Especially if they are horror/suspense genre and from the 70s.
You have some really good ones on your list!
In no particular order, I love them all!

                                        1. Duel
                                        2. A Howling in the Woods
                                        3. Terror on the Beach
                                        4. A Force of Evil
                                        5. Trilogy of Terror
                                        6. The Paper Man
                                        7. Scream, Pretty Peggy
                                        8. Night Gallery
                                        9. The Possession of Mrs. Oliver

Christ, exhaustive list! I've seen maybe a quarter of those listed.
I've been told Bad Ronald is essential viewing and I still need to see Dark Night of the Scarecrow. I'm pretty sure Let's Scare Jessica to Death was a theatrical release (and it's a great film at that).
