"Her Life as a Man" is very pleasant, entertaining, and enjoyable. I remember watching it when it was new (which seems like so long ago.) I have the vhs too and I recently rewatched it for the first time in many years. It's a shame this movie has become so obscure (like most TV movies do.)

You were lucky to see this when it aired, TVmovieViewer! I hadn't heard of it until I found it at a thrift store for 50 cents. It's a very entertaining romantic comedy with some charming humor and sharp satire. It also has high production values like you'd expect from a theatrical film.
Along those lines, I was wondering why there doesn't seem to be a thread for Joan Collins' TV movies on this board. She seems to deserve one because she's been very prolific on television as well as in films. I thought of creating one, but this didn't seem the best place to start because her role is quite small here (despite her prominence on the VHS box).

Warped- You are totally right. Joan definitely deserves her own thread. I've seen most of her TV movies and I'll start a thread for her today.

Hello, TVmovieView: Did you ever see "Stranger in My Bed," a 1987 TV movie with Lindsay Wagner as an amnesia victim getting reacquainted with her family? Check it out if you haven't.
Amnesia films are a tired genre in my book, but Lindsay has the charm and talent to make it work for me. Armand Assante plays her ever-so-patient husband. 7/10 stars from me:

You're very welcome. If you want it on VHS and live in the States, I can send it to you if you want.

I'm going to finally sit down and watch 1974's KILLER BEES starring Miss Gloria Swanson in her lone tv movie, costarring Kate Jackson, Edward Albert, and Roger Davis. I've had it for several months now and haven't yet screened it even though I wanted to see it for a long time.

I assume cable movies count, so I've just watched "The Baby Dance," a searing 1998 Showtime drama about a wealthy couple attempting to adopt a poor expectant couple's child.
It had an excellent script and performances by Stockard Channing and Laura Dern, but some scenes are overwrought and the ending strikes me as false. Still, it's a solid 7/10 from me:

Mary Kay Letourneau. I could watch it over and over and not get tired of it.

I've just watched "Wildflower," a terrific 1991 film directed by Diane Keaton with Patricia Arquette as an abused deaf girl and the family who helps her. It's a very moving film with an excellent soundtrack and strong performances by Beau Bridges and a very young Reese Witherspoon. Patricia Arquette is pitch-perfect in the role. 7/10 stars from me:
