What are the most upseting or disturbing kind of tv movies you have seen? the kind of ones that really stick in your mind?
    I can name a few,
    Born too soon
( had to turn it off before the end!)
    Fatal love
( only watched it once. the bathroom scene with all the scrubbing really freaked me out. Sure it would if i watched it again.)
    Small sacrifices
( about Dianne Downs.. Brilliant acting but dont think I could watch it again. The scene in the court room where she was clicking and tapping her fingers to the song that played as her children were shotSickeningFarah Fawcett was a very under rated actress)

I love TV movies, and I have seen SOOO many disturbing ones. Three that stand out are:
Family Sins (1987, Jill Eikenberry) Upsetting true story. I couldn't believe that a little boy could do that to his little brother.
Bitter Blood (1994, Kelly McGillis) Another upsetting true story. The ending is what bothered me most.
Every Woman's Dream (1996, Kim Cattrall) Another very sad, upsetting true story. What happened to this woman is so wrong.
.But there are many, many others. I'll get back to you, lol.

BITTER BLOOD for me also, the ending gets to me every time. Also, the 1975 TV movie
DEATH BE NOT PROUD with Jane Alexander and Robby Benson. I cried just about all the way through it, and even now just thinking about it brings on tears.
PS glad to see this board come alive again, was beginning to think people had forgotten about it.

The stalking of Laurie Show (Rivals)-Based on a true story. Great acting. The ending is heartbreaking.
Sometimes in April-A haunting film about the Genocide of Rwanda in 1994. Great cast. Still gets me everytime.
I know my first name is Steven-so disturbing. 'Nuff said.
Amber's Story-The sad story of the origin of the Amber Alert.
Family Sins-Kirstie Alley is brilliant as a pillar of the community. Behind closed doors she procures stolen goods, indulges in shoplifting, and committs Arson for insurance fraud amongst other despicable acts.based on a true story
All of the TV movies about Amy Fischer-What an insane story! Each movie is from a different POV.
Don't be afraid of the dark-Classic chiller. So much better than the remake. Eerie.
I saw what you did-the original classic suspense film. Before the days of *69 and caller I.D. although tame by today's standards it still creeped me out.

Knowing the story after the movie makes it all the more sad. The real Steven had his ups and downs and died young, the victim of a motorcycle accident. And his older brother, part victim, having dealt with having his brother kidnapped, yet growing up to be a notorious murderer.

                          Sybil (1976) with Sally Field
The abuse of Sally Field as a child by her mother was worse than most horror movies

Oh yes Sybil and My First Name Is Steven. Man also David, Adam, and The Burning Bed. Unsettling as Hell and they just stay with you no matter how much you try to forget about them.Go Toward the Light and The Ryan White Story are pretty sad films two.

I can't believe that Born Innocent hasn't been mentioned yet. Definitely sticks in the mind even 40 years later.
