I have a thick Mancunian accent. I usually have to repeat myself to southerners over the phone.

I'm from Louisiana, but I have none of the regional accents. Just a standard American accent you hear in movies.
Every now and then, a little of my mom's or dad's accents pop out, especially my mom's when I'm in New Orleans and talking about street (or really any place) names. Like, "We gotta turn down Rampawt (Rampart)." -

I've got a friend who is Kiwi/Irish and hates being called a Pommy.
But he purposefully screwed up my name as a laugh and so I always call him English and he hates it
The things we do as people.
I spoke at his wedding

The one he knew, of course, NZer
I helped him pick his house out as well
I recommended a little South of where it is but there was no talking to him
Now I get to listen to him talk about how he wished how he'd picked my choice, but that's how it goes. He'd never lived in that country before and his wife, from that country, was just happy for the seemingly big upgrade to her status.
Got him hooked up with a decent bar (Or course) but it takes him forever to get to and from it
C'est la vie.
He's still a ginger Kiwi in my books and I love him
