I did too and I like her even better in the book. She is the emotional anchor and core of the story that both binds and tears Lestat and Louis apart.
She is only 5 if I recall though in the book and a few years older in the movie.

I started on the follow up Lestat The Vampire, but wasn’t getting hooked on it and it wasn’t the Lestat I knew from Interview.
I thought Rice wrote a brilliant novel with the first. Beautifully written!
