Looking back on how it was done back in the day it just looks like a dumb move now. Taping a device as big as a hand to a guys chest under his clothing. That could be easily detectable by a simple hug, of which mafiso do to each other A LOT.
These days they can fit bugs in pens but back then all they ha was these big chunky recording devices.
