There's a movie about a sport player (MAYBE football or basketball, but honestly I can't remember), and once he "makes it" there's a press conference and his deadbeat dad shows up and basically talks himself up to reporters, saying how he was always practicing with his kid, etc. So the reporters ask him about it and the guy is pretty much like this is the most ive been around this guy ever!
It's been on the tip of my tongue all night! I can picture the scene but not the actors face!
