Interview With the Fat Vampire

Interview With the Vampire TV Show Starts Filming in December
Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor confirms that filming on AMC's Interview With the Vampire officially gets underway in New Orleans in December.
Director Alan Taylor says that AMC’s upcoming television series adaption of Interview With the Vampire begins filming in December this year. Based on the bestselling 1976 novel by Anne Rice, Interview With the Vampire is the first in Rice’s long-running Vampire Chronicles series. In 1994 The Crying Game director Neil Jordan helmed a film adaptation which starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and a young Kirsten Dunst. Eight years later, a second film based on Rice’s works, Queen of the Damned, saw Tom Cruise’s role of Lestat taken over by Stewart Townsend, while the late R&B star Aaliyah played the titular role of the vampire queen Akasha.
Earlier this year, AMC announced they had greenlit an 8 episode series adaptation of the original book, with Australian actor Sam Reid set to tackle the role of Lestat, while Pitt’s role of Louis would be played by Game of Thrones’ Jacob Anderson. More recently, the GoT and The Many Saints of Newark director Taylor, who is slated to direct Interview With the Vampire’s pilot episode, confirmed to Collider that filming was scheduled to officially get underway in New Orleans in December. He also expressed his excitement for the project due to his “personal relationship with the book.”
Fans of Rice’s written works have been eagerly awaiting news of this series ever since AMC acquired the rights to both The Vampire Chronicles and her Mayfair Witches series. This latest revelation is sure to be welcome news for potential audiences, not only from a timing standpoint but also regarding the decision to film the series in New Orleans. As most devoted fans of books will know, the city of New Orleans is both the home of Rice herself and plays an instrumental role in most of her works, including Interview With the Vampire. With this information boding well for AMC’s plans to build an interconnected television franchise based on Rice’s works, fans of Interview With the Vampire will now be hoping an official release date may soon get announced. -

Yes, that's how it's done! I hadn't heard of that movie before. It's funny you added a Crystal one though, since I was going to add, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Fat Crystal Skull" and "The Dark Fat Crystal."
Aren't you happy I didn't take your choice?
