It was shot flat and converted to 3D to get people away from their computers .I'm only guessing that Disney has possibly decided to not ever put out the 3d version, since it was never in 3D to begin with ,possibly the film maker hates 3D,Yet they put out their Zootopia ,which has been advertise as being made cinematic 3D process .possibly double camera,so they put it out on blu- ray in 3d,but Department stores like wall mart only put one copy out of the 3d print and the rest flat copies ,just to save money.Remember Seeing star wars flat you are not missing anything. It was shot flat.what you saw in the theaters was a view master style conversion.

All the View Master reels I have were shot stereoscopically.
