Is Raj Kapoor really a great filmamker?

What proof? I don't save every thread here.
I did give a long answer for this question before.
Here's the short gist of it. You won't like his acting style, and his mannerisms.
Awaara is probably the only film you might tolerate. -

Instead of relentlessly burying your head in obese Mohanlal's fat arse cheeks, I suggest you watch a couple of Raj Kapoor's movies.
For a start I'd recommend "Shree 420".

I have always thought that he was a far better producer than he was an actor or a director. His best films, in my humble opinion, are Jaagte Raho and Teesri Kasam, both of whom were directed by others. I found both Awara and Mwra Naam Joker to be a little discontinuous.
You should definitely check out his films, but be prepared for the fact the he is a mediocre actor.
