As for realism
with a spoiler alert
Clint Eastwood plays an old guy that starts transporting drugs for a cartel, in a pickup truck, from the border up to (I think) Chicago.
He is very successful and makes several runs and all the cartel guys really like him.
Then he is on a run and a family emergency happens and he gets a call on his cell phone and he diverts a load.
All the cartel guys do is rough him up a little bit.
At least that's the way I remember a forgettable movie.
But being roughed up a little bit by cartel guys for diverting a load seemed highly unrealistic to me.
As I remember, he was finally arrested by Bradley Cooper.

I think I may have only seen Shelly Duvall in The Shining, but if that was a good representation of her acting, I thought she was horrible.

Christian Bale - the way he spoke to the extra on set was disgusting plus his Batman voice is dumb af.
Carey Mulligan - something about her mouth grosses me out and makes me feel irrational hatred.
